On June 23, 2020, representatives of the University attended the forty-eighth bargaining session with the union committee that represents Postdocs and ARSs. The bargaining session was held via video conference.
The University presented a revised proposal on Compensation raising compensation minimums applicable to Postdoctoral Scientists/Scholars and Postdoctoral Fellows to 60,000 and minimums applicable to Associate Research Scientists to $66,100. The University also presented a revised proposal on Non-Discrimination providing that complaints other than those involving Title IX may be pursued by the Union in arbitration if not fully resolved by EOAA within 180 days of receipt. In addition, the University presented a revised proposal on Leaves addressing concerns raised by the Union.
The parties discussed the revised proposals and the University’s positions on Benefits and Union Dues.
The parties reached a tentative agreement on Grievance and Arbitration.
The next bargaining session is scheduled for June 25, 2020.
