On March 15, 2019, representatives of the University attended the second bargaining session with the union committee that represents post-docs and ARSs.
At the beginning of the meeting, the union committee presented and explained 14 separate proposals, with the understanding that additional proposals would be forthcoming. The University representatives asked a wide variety of questions concerning the purpose and detail of each proposal, and said that responses and/or counter-proposals would be presented in future meetings.
The University then presented its initial four proposals, each of which dealt with an aspect of the Framework Agreement, and the union committee members asked questions and commented on those proposals.
The discussion of each set of proposals was constructive.
The next meeting is scheduled for April 1, 2019.
