On October 28, 2019, representatives of the University attended the nineteenth bargaining session with the union committee that represents Postdocs and ARSs.
The University presented a revised Health and Safety proposal responding to and incorporating certain elements of the Union’s proposal.
The University and the Union continued their discussion of each of their previously presented proposals on Grievance and Arbitration and International Researcher Rights/Foreign National Employees. The parties also discussed issues related to Intellectual Property, Appointments, and Union Security/Union Dues.
The Union agreed to review its Non-Discrimination proposal provisions addressing “power-based harassment” or “bullying.”
The Union proposed dates for November bargaining sessions. The next session is scheduled for November 14, 2019.
