Bargaining Session 1

On April 20, 2023, representatives of the University met with representatives of the CPW-UAW Union to negotiate a successor agreement to their first contract.  The contract between the University and CPW-UAW expires on June 30, 2023.

The Union presented proposals to change the terms of nearly half of the twenty-nine articles of the current contract as well as two new articles. The University presented ideas to adjust four articles to improve administration of the contract and reflect the parties’ practices post implementation.

The parties agreed to add an additional session on May 3, 2023, to their schedule.
