On June 14, 2023, the representatives of the University and the CPW-UAW Union held their eleventh bargaining session.
During this session, the Union presented their economic counter-proposal to the University, which was discussed extensively by the parties.
The University provided the Union with additional items and/or modifications to the language in their proposal concerning Appointment Letters, Union Access, Discipline & Discharge, and International Employees.
The University maintained and reiterated that it presented a Comprehensive Offer of Settlement at the June 8, 2023 session for the Union’s consideration as a framework for discussions to reach a successor contract prior to expiration.
The parties are scheduled to meet again on June 22, 2023.
