On June 22, 2023, the representatives of the University and the CPW-UAW Union held their twelfth bargaining session.
During this session, the Union presented their revised economic counter-proposal to the University, which was discussed extensively by the parties.
The University provided the Union with a Revised Comprehensive Offer of Settlement with revisions concerning Appointment Letters, Union Access, Discipline & Discharge, Grievance and Arbitration, Anti-Bullying, and International Employees.
The University maintained and reiterated to the Union that the Revised Comprehensive Offer of Settlement should be considered as a framework for discussions to reach a successor contract prior to expiration.
The University also suggested that the parties consider the use of a mediator to help reach an agreement next week.
The parties are scheduled to meet again on June 29, 2023.
